Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain. This quote was mentioned, in a recent obituary, as the motto of the late Dave Bacuzzi RIP, well known and very successful Irish FAI manager formerly of Cork Hibernians and Home Farm. It is entirely appropriate for the situation that the industry finds itself in today. We really have no time-frame as to how business and indeed life will return to what we considered as normal. In the meantime our best strategy is to try and learn to cope with this current pandemic. We are extremely grateful for the support of companies that have contributed to this edition of ELECTRIC.IE . Our website has been of some benefit in spreading important information throughout the industry. If you have information or reports that you feel are of value, or you would like to share your thoughts within the electrical industry, please feel free to use our social media connections starting with our website www.electric.ie . Unfortunately, we have lost some good friends and tributes to them are on page 62. Most notably we remember Richard Nolan who was for many years director of what was probably the biggest electrical distribution company in Ireland (Charles Nolan & Co). Richard was a President of EMDA in the formative days of the association. Elsewhere.... • TEC Electric is now part of the Kempston Controls Family. • We have an exclusive interview with Mick G Slein as he takes over LED Group Robus at this challenging time. • An update on the new National Wiring Rules from Charles Dunn, Chairman NSAI TC2. • Electrical wholesalers across the country have been ensuring that emergency equipment is getting to the front line.
