Printed by W&G Baird Friday 17th, November 2023 Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin Well, we’re closing in on what is turning out to be an exceptionally good year for the industry. I can’t recall a time when there has been so much happening! Over the past couple of months alone, there have been quite a few localised trade shows, all very well attended. CEF held their annual Tech Talks event, the Dash of the Derg took place with strong support, and of course, we saw the welcome return of the EIFI Electrical Industry Awards. Electric.ie has been at them all — and we’ve got the full reports for you. We cover the Monaghan Electrical trade event, which took place at the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan (page 58). The organising team behind the Dash of the Derg have also announced that next year’s event will go ahead on September 4th, 2026 — and you can read our report on this year’s run on page 60. The EIFI Awards were especially meaningful for us this year, as our own Kevin O’Reilly was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Kevin led EMDA for many years and was the founder of Electric.ie magazine. You’ll find our full awards coverage on page 10. We also congratulate Wayne Moody on his appointment as Managing Director of Demesne Electrical (see page 21). This edition features plenty of exciting new products — we particularly like the new matt bronze finish added to the Click Litehouse Deco Collection (page 8). Also inside: Mitsubishi Electric launch their nextgeneration inverters (page 34), and we take a look at the GRANT Aerona Smart Controller. Finally, our friends at Phoenix Contact have once again included a free 2026 Wall Planner with this issue — don’t forget to hang yours up!
