of a website for the EIFI. This site will be shortly launched and contributions of suggestions for content will be welcome from all members. In 2017 EIFI introduced the Industry Awards in cooperation with ELECTRIC.IE. This was a great success and details of the 2018 awards programme will shortly be unveiled. We have become conscious of a shift in the nature of submission to the magazine. Supporters are reporting more on all things digital. No doubt that digitalisation is changing the skill requirements and product designs across the electrical industry. We welcome papers and articles that may contribute to the distribution of knowledge and training within the industry. NSAI are active in establishing the ElectroTechnical Committee which will take responsibility for wiring rules in the future. Included in this issue is a report from NSAI on changes to rules in Ireland's Electrical Vehicle (EV) infrastructure. We review the DataCentres Ireland 2017 event that took place recently in Dublin. Back by popular demand is the 'Trade Counter' page. As always we take a look at the glamour and glitz at the annual EIFI charity ball.
