Each can operate as an input for potentialfree push-button or switch contacts, or as a binary output for controlling indicator lights. B.E.G. insists this allows installers to integrate conventional controls into a KNX system while benefiting from the wider capabilities of building automation. Its compact design also provides ‘flexibility’ when specifying devices for new installations or incorporating controls into wider automation projects. Configuration is carried out using the Engineering Tool Software (ETS), the standard configuration tool for KNX installations. Each channel supports a range of functions, including switching, dimming, blinds control, scenes, forced operation, percentage control, sequencer, HVAC mode, edge functions and counter functions. Compatibility with standard switch ranges gives installers and specifiers additional flexibility when selecting controls to suit the requirements and interior design of a building.
